Day 1: Arrive in Ecuador and settle in
Begin your adventure by arriving in Quito, at an elevation of 2,896 meters (9,500 feet). Our driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the vibrant new town area where you can relax and settle in.

Day 2: Explore Quito’s gold churches and visit the equator
Discover the historic charm of Quito’s colonial old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll visit stunning landmarks such as the Jesuit church La Compañía de Jesús. In the afternoon, head to the Mitad del Mundo monument to stand on the equator and learn
about the French Geodesic Mission’s 18th-century expedition.

Day 3: Fly to the Galapagos Islands and visit the Charles Darwin Research Center
Today, you’ll fly to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arriving at Baltra, your driver will meet you and together you will cross the Itabaca Channel to Santa Cruz Island to settle into your hotel in Puerto Ayora. In the afternoon, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about the conservation efforts and see the giant tortoises up close.

Day 4: Discover lava tunnels, bike through reserves, and snorkel on Santa Cruz Island
Start your day by exploring the fascinating lava tunnels on Santa Cruz Island, unique underground passages formed by volcanic activity. Then, enjoy a scenic bike ride through the Cerro Mesa ecological reserve, where you might encounter giant tortoises and take in panoramic views of the island from the top. For those seeking more adventure, there’s an
optional hike down into a crater filled with endemic plants. In the afternoon, relax at Garrapatero Beach, a beautiful white-sand beach with clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Day 5: Explore the uninhabited Seymour Island
Sail around the archipelago to North Seymour Island, not of volcanic origin but the result of underground seismic activity. where you’ll observe colonies of frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies. Spend the afternoon snorkeling, discovering the vibrant underwater world teeming
with fish, sea lions, and possibly even sea turtles.

Day 6: Kayak first and then hop to a different of island
Start your day with a peaceful kayak tour around the Bay of Puerto Ayora, where you can spot sea lions, sea turtles, and seabirds as you paddle through the clear waters. Explore scenic spots like Punta Estrada and El Canal del Amor, enjoying the natural beauty from
the water. In the afternoon, take a public speedboat to Isabela Island, where your adventure continues.

Day 7: Hike the sulphur mine in the huge Sierra Negra crater
Explore the massive crater of the active Sierra Negra volcano and hike to the sulfur mine, where fumaroles have deposited sulfur crystals over millennia. Continue your adventure with a visit to Cueva de Sucre, a deep lava tunnel, and take in panoramic views from the “El Mango” viewpoint. Travel time: 1.5 hours

Day 9: Fly to San Cristobal and dive into the ocean’s depths
Fly to San Cristobal Island on a small plane and embark on a discovery dive, perfect for beginners. After a safety briefing from your dive instructor, you’ll dive into the clear waters around the island, where you’ll explore a vibrant underwater world filled with tropical fish, rays, and possibly even reef sharks. This dive offers a close-up look at the rich marine life that makes the Galapagos a top diving destination. Afternoon free to discover the small town and its beaches.

Day 10: Snorkel with sharks at Kicker Rock
Kicker Rock, a fragmented tuff cone in the blue Pacific, is one of the top snorkeling spots in the Galapagos. Here, you can spot Galapagos sharks, rays, sea turtles, large schools of fish, and, with a bit of luck, hammerhead sharks. After snorkeling, relax, swim, and enjoy lunch on one of San Cristobal Island’s beautiful beaches. Then, return to the small harbor town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and savor the last rays of sunshine by the harbor.

Day 11: Spot the Galapagos albatross on Española Island
Take a day trip from San Cristobal to Española Island, known for its unique wildlife. Start with snorkeling at Gardener Rock, where you can swim among starfish, reef fish, and playful sea lions. Then, hike to Suarez Point, where you’ll have the chance to observe the majestic Galapagos albatross, along with other species like marine iguanas and the Galapagos hawk.
